Alexandra Büchler was born in Prague in 1955 and has lived in Greece, Australia, Scotland and England. She has translated novels, short stories, plays and poetry, and has edited several fiction anthologies, including This Side of Reality: Modern Czech Writing and Allskin and Other Tales by Contemporary Czech Women. She has introduced Spiros Vergos’ poems Roots in Time to Czech readers, and two new anthologies of Greek writers Yellow Butterfly and ………. have just been published.
