Anne Michaels

Anne Michaels was born in 1958 in Toronto. She has written three collections of poetry, The Weight of Oranges, Miner's Pond and Skin Divers. In 1996 she published her first novel Fugitive Pieces, winner of the Guardian Fiction Award, which established her as one of Canada's most lauded authors. Anne Michaels lives with her young daughter in Toronto.
